If this is life-threatening, call 112 (national emergency) or 119 (medical emergency / ambulance) first. 112 is the national emergency number in Indonesia; 119 is the public health emergency line (PSC 119) for ambulance and medical dispatch. Make that call before you contact us. Once help is moving, message the desk and we take over the coordination around it.
Why residents use home visits differently
A traveller wants one visit to resolve one problem. A family living here wants something closer to a habit: a practitioner who can come when a child is unwell on a school night, an arrangement that does not have to be reinvented each time, and notes that build into a history rather than scattering across four facilities. The value is continuity, and continuity takes a small amount of organisation.
Children
The commonest reason families call. Two practical points, neither of them clinical. Know your child’s current weight, because it matters to whoever attends and parents are routinely a year out of date. And be clear about the threshold at which you stop arranging a visit and go to an emergency department instead — an infant, a child who is difficult to rouse, breathing that is not normal, a rash that does not fade under pressure, or a child unable to keep any fluid down. In those situations dial 112 or 119, or go now; do not wait for someone to come to the house.
Older relatives visiting
The situation residents most often underestimate. An older visitor arrives with existing conditions, sometimes with insufficient medication, and frequently with travel insurance that excludes pre-existing conditions or caps cover by age. Read the policy before they fly, not afterwards. Have their conditions and medication written down in English, with doses copied from the packets. A home visit is often the right first step for them, because a waiting room carries its own risk.
Build a record nobody else will keep
Facilities keep their own files and those files do not follow a family between them. After every visit, ask for the note and the prescription, photograph them, and keep them dated in one folder per family member. When something escalates, the difference between a clinician seeing three years of history and one working from a verbal summary is substantial — and it is entirely within your control.
What we arrange
A licensed practitioner able to attend, confirmed by phone in Bahasa Indonesia rather than by a hopeful message. The outline relayed as you gave it, without interpretation. Directions that work — a pin, a landmark, the gate, a code, a phone that will be answered. Interpreting where it helps. If the assessment points to a facility, a destination confirmed as able to receive the case now, and the car to get there.
What a visit cannot substitute for
Equipment. Imaging, laboratory results, stitching that wants proper lighting and a sterile field, or another discipline’s opinion all mean a facility. An early visit is still useful in those cases, because it tells you sooner.
The boundary
We do not diagnose, prescribe, treat or administer anything, and we do not advise on medication or dosage for adults or children. We do not employ clinicians, and the practitioner who attends is not our staff. Every clinical decision belongs to them.
We publish a directory of listed facilities that carries its source and the date each entry was checked, and we withhold any direct line that has not passed two independent sources. Capability still changes by the hour, so while a case is live we confirm by phone, in Bahasa Indonesia, instead of relying on what a page said yesterday.
The mechanics of a visit are in doctor visits to your villa or hotel; what changes with children, pregnancy or older travellers is in travelling with family in Bali.

Set the arrangement up before you need it
Families who have used a home visit once and were satisfied should do one more thing: note who attended, through which provider, and what it cost. Next time the request takes a message rather than a search. Continuity of practitioner is worth real money in a family with children, and it only happens if somebody wrote it down after the first visit.
Sanur Emergency is an independent medical concierge. We are not a clinic, hospital or ambulance operator, we do not employ medical staff, and we are not affiliated with any medical facility. All clinical care is delivered by licensed providers.
